Confused about test results
I took a herpes test and i received the following results:
HSV 1-2 IGG Herpeselect AB
Herpes AB Type 1 IGG 0.06 (in-range)
(Negative; Less than 0.90)
(Equivocal; 0.90-1.10)
(Positive; Greater than 1.10)
Herpes AB Type 2 IGG 4.62(in-range)
(Negative; Less than 0.90)
(Equivocal; 0.90-1.10)
(Positive; Greater than 1.10)
I spoke to my doctor but he didn't do a good job explaining it to me. He said something like i have Herpes type 2 IGG antibodies. I had to come across it before with someone but my body fought it off. Can you explain this better to me. Can i pass it on to someone else, do i have herpes 1? I have not ever had any symptoms. How can i have 2 but my antibodies fought it off?
